Petition filed in Supreme Court for cancellation of JEE and NEET exam


New Delhi: 11 students have filed a petition in the Supreme Court for cancellation of JEE and NEET examinations amid increasing cases of COVID-19. JEE Main exam is scheduled on 1-6 September and NEET UG-2020 exam is scheduled on 13 September. Students have requested the Supreme Court to intervene in the case and cancel the examination.

Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resource Development had postponed NEET and JEE exam. Along with this, new dates for NEET and JEE examinations were also announced. According to the new schedule, the JEE Main exam will now be held between September 1 and 6, while the JEE Advanced exam will be held on September 27, 2020. Similarly NEET exam will be held on 13 September.

Notice that the number of coronavirus cases in the country is increasing rapidly. In view of the increasing threat of corona, students appearing for JEE Main (NEET 2020 Exam) and NEET 2020 Examination are demanding to postpone the examinations.
