New Delhi: Due to lockdown and corona, there has been a decrease of about 40 percent this year compared to the previous year. In the year 2019 till July 31, there were 929 road accidents in which 945 people died. While 543 road accidents occurred in the year 2020 till 31 July and 557 people were killed in these accidents, while in the months of lockdown, April, May, June and July this year there were 250 road accidents in which 261 people were killed, while the past In the same 4 months, there were 493 road accidents in which double the number of 503 people died.

In these 4 months of lockdown, due to corona, there was no challan for driving drunk while 2 people died due to drunken driving. While 3 were injured, the challan for driving and driving of Corona has also decreased significantly compared to last year. As of 31 July last year, there were 12664 invoices of Drunk & Driving whereas till July 31 this year only 3962 invoices were received.
